T.C. 743 |
DESCRIPTION
T.C. 743 is a carefully blended liquid acid material designed for use in the final rinse
solution of 3 or 5 stage iron phosphating installations. This product is royal blue in color, stable and
readily miscible with water at use dilutions. The use of T.C. 743 is recommended to enhance the corrosion
resistance of iron phosphate coatings and to generally condition the surface prior to subsequent finishing.
OPERATION
T.C. 743 may be used at a concentration of 1/4 to 1 pint per 100 gallons of solution, in
a temperature range of room temperature to 130°F. Exposure time is 30 seconds. Adjust these operating
conditions as required for optimum results.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The usual precautions for handling acid materials are to be observed. Avoid skin and
eye exposure. In case of accident, flush affected areas with copious quantities of water and get medical
attention. Working personnel handling T.C. 743 solution should wear rubber gloves, goggles and other proper
protective clothing. Do not allow dehydrating in presence of paper or cloth.
